Franchise Brands Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2024

Each October, millions come together to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, promoting awareness and funding for breast cancer research. This disease impacts over 2.3 million women worldwide, with 1 in 8 women in the U.S. facing it in their lifetimes. Franchise brands join this cause by partnering with organizations like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Susan G. Komen, inviting customers to contribute to the fight at the checkout.

Here’s a look at how some franchises are “going pink” for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2024.

CertaPro Painters

For the sixth year, CertaPro Painters is running its Paint it Pink Campaign, which has raised $555,000 since 2019. This year, participating franchisees will donate a portion of sales from painting projects completed between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the U.S. and Breast Cancer Canada, aiming to raise $160,000.

East Coast Wings + Grill

In October, East Coast Wings + Grill will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation by donating $1 for each ‘Pink Ribbon’ drink sold. This month-long campaign will conclude with a roundup of all donations, helping fund cancer research.

Hungry Howie’s

Hungry Howie’s brings back its annual Love, Hope & Pizza campaign, supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). This year, it introduces the limited-edition Pink Pizza, available until Oct. 27, with 50% of each sale going to NBCF. Additionally, portions of sales from all items in pink pizza boxes from Sept. 23 to Oct. 31 will benefit NBCF. Customers can also donate at checkout. Since 2009, this initiative has raised over $5 million.

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans

PJ’s Coffee has partnered with Susan G. Komen for a 60-day campaign running Oct. 1 to Nov. 30. Guests can donate $1, $3, or $5 at checkout, directly funding cancer research. Special pink PJ’s Coffee apparel will also be available, with 10% of proceeds going to Susan G. Komen.

Scooter’s Coffee

Through Oct. 31, Scooter’s Coffee offers two special products, the Courage Cookie and Courage Quencher, donating 20% of sales to The Pink Agenda, a nonprofit funding cancer research. Since 2020, Scooter’s has raised nearly $676,000 for The Pink Agenda.

Swig

In its fifth year of Save The Cups campaign, Swig aims to raise $300,000. Customers can support by purchasing featured drinks, special merchandise, or making a direct donation at checkout throughout October.

These franchise brands show how small acts of giving at checkout can make a big impact in supporting breast cancer research and awareness.
